The Shell brand has been present in Namibia since 1975. Since 2012, Shell-branded fuels and lubricants have been marketed and distributed by our exclusive licensee, Vivo Energy Namibia, which has a fuels storage capacity of 7,718 m³ and operates 66 service stations. Since 2014, Shell has also been exploring for oil and natural gas offshore of Namibia, completing three seismic surveys between 2014 and 2019.
What is a licensee?
Vivo Energy Namibia is Shell’s exclusive brand licensee in Namibia, serving retail and commercial customers. Vivo Energy operates Shell-branded retail stations, and markets and distributes Shell-branded lubricants.
