In Namibia, Shell is in the early stages of exploring offshore for oil and natural gas. Shell Namibia Upstream BV (Shell) has a 45% participating interest in Petroleum Exploration License 39 (PEL 39), located offshore Namibia, with a 45% interest held by Qatar Energy and a 10% interest held by the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR).

Shell’s licensee, Vivo Energy, has a retail offering including fuels, lubricants, card services, shops, restaurants and other non-fuel services. It provides fuels, lubricants and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to business customers across a range of sectors including aviation, marine, mining, construction, power, transport, and manufacturing. The company has access to over 1,000,000 cubic metres of fuel storage capacity.
