The delegation included the Vice President, Prime Minister, senior Cabinet officials, as well as advisors from the Upstream Petroleum Unit and other key ministries, reflecting a collective commitment to advancing Namibia’s energy sector through partnership and dialogue.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe meeting focused on aligning petroleum sector efforts with national priorities, covering local content, skills development and infrastructure planning.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOn 16 July 2025, Shell’s senior leadership team, including Eugene Okpere, Executive Vice President for Exploration, Strategy and Portfolio and Nisrine Al-Kadi, newly appointed Vice President for Heartlands and Namibia, visited Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, for a courtesy meeting. This engagement reaffirmed Shell’s commitment to Namibia and its people and highlighted the value Shell places on collaborative relationships with national leadership as the foundation for lasting partnerships and shared progress.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EShell re-entered Namibia in 2014 and is now the largest deepwater investor, with over $1 billion invested and nine wells drilled.
